Working with executive management, ensure the operational resilience of Lloyd's remains within the risk appetite of the Council and Lloyd's remains able to deliver core services and regulatory responsibilities, both at a Corporation and market level. Provide regular reporting to management and relevant governance forums as required, including the Risk Committee. Attend and actively participate in relevant management and risk governance forums and project meetings. Contribute towards the successful delivery of the Lloyd's risk framework, for example by supporting to the Risk and Control Self Assessment (RCSA) process in order to provide assurance to the Council that risks are being managed within risk appetite. Liaise with a range of stakeholders, including at senior levels, across Lloyd's to gather, assess and report key risk information, for example in reviewing the Lloyd's risk register and risk appetites. Produce a range of regular and ad hoc reporting to provide the risk committees with the management information required to assess risk exposures, for example risk appetite reporting, relevant dashboards/reports, risk opinion papers and ORSA reporting To respond with agility to requests (e.g. ad hoc projects) from the Chief Risk Officer or Head of Risk Management To support the broader Risk &amp; Regulatory Function, and the Corporation as a whole, address risks and issues arising from the Lloyd's risk profile. To engage effectively with risk representatives and other risk specialists embedded across the business. Skills Knowledge and Experience Experience in working as part of a high performing team to successful risk management outcomes Experience in dealing with complex stakeholder communication and negotiation Experience in managing senior stakeholders including challenging or unsupportive stakeholders Good experience of risk management frameworks, tools and processes Good knowledge of risk management Understanding of the insurance industry and the Lloyd's market would be beneficial Good knowledge of business operations, processes and key associated risks, including people, process and technology Stakeholder management skills to build relationships with a range of stakeholders. Job title: Operational Risk Support Manager Location: Liverpool/ Hybrid Salary: up to £60,000 DOE Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm What you will be doing: <ul><li>Continually enhance the existing Operational Resilience framework and ensure it is fully embedded </li><li>Develop relationships with all functional business areas to continually identify, map and set impact tolerances for all Important Business Services</li><li>Ensure Quality Investigations are conducted with focus on performance improvement and risk reduction, in alignment with Quality Management System requirements and governing regulations</li><li>Liaise with all IBS owners to develop effective and documented Operational Resilience and Business Continuity plans</li><li>Engage, support and challenge business leaders on identification of important business functions and needs to support roadmap to compliance and beyond</li><li>Support the COO in aligning all Operational Resilience and Business Continuity planning, initiatives and goals with operational, departmental goals, timelines and capabilities. </li><li>Plan and co-ordinate the audit requirements for outsourced 3rd party services in line with regulatory requirements. </li><li>Prepare and submit documents and evidence for audit requirements as they arise. </li><li>Be able to successfully secure engagement from company SMEs/IBS owners and other participants </li><li>Oversee and support the delivery and detailed documentation of scenario testing, including articulating results to senior stakeholders. </li><li>Taking ownership for designing and delivering short training sessions which will embed awareness and understanding of our operational resilience strategy. </li><li>Facilitating at least on an annual basis the review of Operational Resilience framework in line with regulatory requirements, including a review of the Operational Resilience Policy. </li><li>Provide monthly and quarterly risk metrics to the COO and own and manage risks identified for Operational Resilience. </li></ul>What we are looking for: <ul><li>Background and experience in implementing operational resilience or business continuity regulatory improvements. </li><li>Knowledge of FCA regulations and other legislation as they relate to Operational Resilience. </li><li>Someone who has performed a similar role in a highly technical, data driven environment </li><li>Must be experienced in and capable of understanding the often complex inter relationship and dependency of integrated IT systems </li><li>Have experience of dealing with OpRes implementation in on premise, and cloud based/SAAS, PAAS solutions</li><li>Comfortable effectively delivering projects, determining appropriate reporting and procedures as needed</li><li>Experience in risk assessments, identifying and quantifying risks, testing risk controls. </li><li>Tenacity to investigate areas of concern across all business functions</li><li>Strong reporting skills, able to present and communicate in required settings</li><li>Good at cultivating relationships with stakeholders, building trust that facilitates an open mindset and free exchange of information</li></ul>Desirables: <ul><li>Experience managing an Operational Resilience/Risk/BCM function, preferably within the insurance industry </li><li>Good working knowledge, and ideally implementation, of resilience industry standards: (BCM) ISO22301, (Tech/Res/DR) ISO27031, (Crisis Management) BS11200, (Organisational Resilience) ISO22316. </li></ul>About Acorn Insurance We are a growing business with great opportunities to build your knowledge of the financial services industry.
